HIMARS is the official student organization at the departmental level that serves as a platform for student aspirations and acts as a bridge between the academic program and students, as well as between the university administration and the student body. HIMARS operates under the supervision of the Vice Rector for Student Affairs (Vice Rector III) of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara and was officially established on December 5, 2018 (founded by the second cohort and initiated by the 2016 cohort). HIMARS upholds the values of independence, responsibility, representation, transparency, professionalism, and active student participation. The organization strives to maintain an aspirational and student-centered approach in all its activities. In its leadership and operations, HIMARS adheres to three core principles inspired by Vitruvius’ Triad: ● Venustas (beauty – creating meaningful and inspiring experiences for students), ● Firmitas (strength – ensuring professionalism and credibility), and ● Utilitas (function – delivering real value and benefits for students). These principles guide HIMARS in ensuring that all initiatives are aesthetically meaningful, structurally sound, and functionally beneficial for the student community.
